A lively mixed-use project, Bintaro Jaya Xchange brings an integrated and exciting new live, work and play destination to the city of Jakarta.  The Environmental Graphic systems at Bintaro are driven by the parent company/developer. Upon entering the site the Identity features celebrate the PT Jaya property Real brand and logo in grand style. Populating the face of the larger building identities with programmable LEDs adds another level of dynamism, these treatments bestow the identities with a more playful and exciting appearance. As patrons approach Bintaro’s interior roadways and walkways they are directed by modern monolith style wayfinding elements that blend well with the overall forms of the high-rise towers. Staying with the curvilinear theme another curve is introduced as a slice out of the signage revealing a pop of red, further extending the brand. The vibrant blue from the logo is used for type to increase legibility

 

Once visitors reach the interior retail experience at the center of Bintaro they will encounter wayfinding devices that enhance the visual environment by complimenting the architectural material palettes and reinforcing formal queues. Drawing inspiration from the organic curves of the interior, while the white and deep gray tones relate to the architectural water themes (Arctic, Glacier, Iceberg, Lake, etc.) The color palette also provides the necessary contrast for signage in such a warm, and “woody” environment. The alternating layers of material that extend beyond one another further resemble the idea of the process of glaciers, slowly revealing the earth beneath them.A lively mixed-use project, Bintaro Jaya Xchange brings an integrated and exciting new live, work and play destination to the city of Jakarta.
